It distorts communication.
Leaders may stop hearing what they need to hear. Teams begin withholding insight or saying what leadership wants to hear.
Executive Advisory • Leadership Development • Culture Risk
LTUI Consulting helps executives, boards, HR leaders, nonprofit leaders, and government organizations identify Organizational Arrogance, strengthen leadership behavior, and align people around work that matters.
Who We Are

Our work is shaped by senior military leadership, organizational management, contracting operations, stakeholder coordination, and high-accountability decision environments.
Start with a leadership conversationThe Framework
Organizational Arrogance is a culture risk signal. It appears when leadership behaviors begin limiting honest feedback, weakening trust, dismissing insight, and creating distance between decision-makers and the people affected by those decisions.
Leaders may stop hearing what they need to hear. Teams begin withholding insight or saying what leadership wants to hear.
Dismissiveness and disparagement create distance. People stop believing decisions are fair, thoughtful, or grounded.
Arrogant systems mistake confidence for clarity, creating misalignment, slow correction, and avoidable drag.

I was operating with the same mindset that had carried me through most of my life—perform, deliver, and do not fail.
On the heels of three combat deployments, high-stakes assignments, and while assigned to the Pentagon, I was balancing leadership responsibility, fatherhood, marriage, community engagement, and the pursuit of advanced education. During that time, I had also completed a second master’s degree from the University of Missouri in Journalism, with an emphasis in Strategic Communications.
From the outside, it looked like success.
From the inside, it was overextension.
Over time, something shifted in me.
I wasn’t a poor leader. I was driven. Focused. Committed to impact. But I had not fully accounted for the cost of that pace—on my health, my presence, and the people who experienced my leadership.
Then everything stopped.
One evening, while assigned to the Pentagon, I passed out in my bathroom at home. I collapsed and struck my head—landing in a position that, by inches, could have ended very differently.
When I woke up, I was in the hospital.
You’ve been operating at a level nine RPM’s for over ten years. The body isn’t built to sustain that. You need to idle down—or next time, you won’t be as lucky.
There were no underlying medical issues.
No hidden diagnosis.
No structural damage.
Just exhaustion. Burnout. Sustained stress at a level my body could no longer carry.
Life is fragile.
Time is limited.
If time is limited, then every moment of leadership matters.
Every decision I make. Every interaction I have. Every expectation I place on others.
And the same is true for you.
Whether you realize it or not, your leadership is shaping how people experience their work, their team, and themselves.
Across my career, most leadership assignments lasted between 12 and 36 months.
Because leadership doesn’t just produce results.
It produces experiences. It shapes culture. It leaves something behind—whether you intend it to or not.
That realization became the foundation for Limited Time… Unlimited Impact™.
Not as a slogan. But as a leadership philosophy—and ultimately, a life philosophy.
You don’t control how long you lead people.
But you do control how you lead them while you have the opportunity.
Here’s where most leaders—and most organizations—miss it.
Leadership doesn’t break down overnight.
It drifts.
And if you’re not paying attention, you won’t see it happening.
But your people will feel it.
Over time, those behaviors don’t stay isolated.
They spread. They normalize. They become culture.
That is what I define as Organizational Arrogance™.
You don’t need to be a bad leader for this to happen.
You just need to be unaware.
And when awareness is missing, even well-intentioned leadership can create unintended consequences.
That’s the risk. But it’s also the opportunity.
Because once you see it—you can change it.
This is why LTUI exists.
To help you see what is often overlooked. To challenge what has become normalized. To bring awareness back to leadership where it matters most.
What you do with both—that’s the difference.
Your time is limited.
Your impact is not.
LTUI exists to identify, disrupt, and prevent Organizational Arrogance by transforming how leaders think, engage, decide, and impact the people they lead.
Make hidden superiority behaviors visible through language, diagnosis, reflection, and assessment.
Interrupt the behaviors, norms, and assumptions that allow arrogance to spread across teams.
Build leadership systems that reduce recurrence and protect the culture from future escalation.
We believe the next generation of leadership development must do more than inspire better communication. It must help organizations see how superiority behaviors are normalized, rewarded, protected, and eventually embedded in culture—and give leaders a practical path to change it.
Help leaders name what they have felt but could not clearly define.
Turn recognition into a desire for diagnosis, experience, and deeper engagement.
Move leaders and teams from insight to changed practices and cultural accountability.
Extend the work through consulting, leadership ladders, assessments, and repeatable systems.
Many organizations train skills, assess personalities, and launch programs without naming the behaviors that quietly undermine trust, feedback, accountability, and truth. LTUI exists to identify the pattern, diagnose its depth, and route leaders toward the right solution.
The LTUI Experience helps leaders feel and recognize Organizational Arrogance through immersive engagement, dialogue, reflection, and action.
The OA Assessment helps organizations understand where superiority behaviors may be present and how deeply they are influencing culture.
